Ahhhh….spring

Yes…another winter behind us…another spring opening up before us. The essence of the breezes are lighter, full of scents that refresh the psyche and put a spring in the step. Several springs. This is my 65th spring….that is mind blowing. But I relish every moment, taking the time to ‘see’ and ‘hear’ and sometimes I just sit on the deck and marvel at the beauty that the Holy One, the Creator of everything in the Universe has blessed His children with. The garden is beginning to look alive…green is everywhere and salads have been gracing our...

Best Pumpkin Bread Ever!

Posted by on Jan 6, 2017 | 0 comments

Just a short SHOUT OUT – to all those that grow their own (or try to) food! This past summer I had an abundance of sugar pumpkins that developed on only three or four plans. They were so cute…small, round and very pretty. Having never made my own pumpkin pies or bread I was a bit curious as to how they would turn out. After whisking all of this together, simply take a muffin tin (grease it WELL) and then pour some of the mix into the tins to fill about 2/3 of the muffin tin. Pop in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes and then chow...

Homemade Garden Spray

Make it yourself! Spray all leaves thoroughly, until the solution begins to run off.  Spray the top and bottom of affected leaves, and spray all of the small new leaves, even if they don’t appear to have the fungus...
