Yep…that was a bigger bump than I first anticipated!

Oh my…..Went into that turn thinking it was a small but memorable bump in the road, but little did I see that it was a whole (hole) lot deeper than it looked! No wonder horses don’t like to step in puddles … you never know how deep it really is!

Let me explain myself, as it is a twofold bump. At first glance it simply looked like a bump where you just swerve and miss it – thereby they tell me you save your tire tread … or something. But the closer I got, the bigger it got, and there as no denying, it was more like a sinkhole than a bump. And down I went. That night of hardly breathing ended up being almost a week of nightly gasps for air and daily fatigue laden black-outs. The fog was just getting a bit too thick for me.

As I said, when in distress, re-evaluate. Well, I did and realized that while fighting through something definitely is important …. so is breathing while fighting through it! So, yes, a puff or 2 at night on the dreaded inhaler had to be taken back up. At first I really beat myself up over this decision, but after being able to breathe like a normal person became a bit more apparent, it was greeted each nite with anticipation. Not the anticipation of welcoming an old friend, but the anticipation that breathing helps sleeping and sleeping helps rebuild your immune system. So while I do plan on being released from the dreaded fumes in that little tube, tonight, if needed, I will breathe.

If you are dealing with a breathing problem and seeking for relief, don’t give up. Those bumps in the road might just be there to slow you down a bit. This is the time of evaluation during the season of the Omer, and if you don’t know what that is, it’s another amazing time that our Heavenly Father gave to us to ‘check our thermostat’. It began with the Sabbath after Passover and 50 days later is the giving of the Torah .. His loving instructions for His children….Shavuot or Pentecost.

So maybe His Journey … is the Journey we need to be on…re-evaluating my own journey by lighting it with His Feast Days (Leviticus 23) illuminates the potholes and puts them in the light they need to be in.  After all, >HE< said they are >HIS< Feasts….we’re invited!

23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
