The Other Side

So let’s look at the other side of the pothole….or is there another side?

Well, I guess if you want to look at the other side, you would most probably have to be on the other side….right? And to be on the other side…well, you’d have to be IN the hole looking out. That’s an interesting concept to wrap your brain around isn’t it?

But, let’s take a deep breath and think about this for a moment. If you’re on the other side of the situation/circumstance/pothole …. than you’ll have a totally different perspective of that issue. Right? So, let’s try to ‘see‘ it from within and find out what happens.

First of all – looking at it from this angle, should definitely give us a totally different perspective! Our viewpoint from this angle should widen and deepen in ways we would not have expected. From the other side of the pothole the hole widens as we view the situation differently. Instead of looking down into a narrow hole, we are looking UP into the great expanse! Oh my….ponder on that for a minute my friend…we are LOOKING UP! And if we are looking up, than there is an automatic great advantage!

That advantage? Well, it’s the One who is looking down 🙂 … we are meeting each other eye to eye and we are now looking up to find the answer rather than staring down into a dirty old hole. As we gaze up into the great I AM … scriptures run through my mind. Scriptures such as:

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalm 40:17  But I am poor and needy; yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.

Psalm 115:11  You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield.

Psalm 121:2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:13 For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.

So what’s the take away? Next time you faced with a situation, a pothole, a circumstance that looks, from all appearances, to big to go around ~ look at it from a different perspective. ‘See’ it with His eyes!
