As we age, it’s natural to reflect on our lives and wonder if our purpose remains significant. Yet, the Bible consistently shows that God’s plans for us don’t expire with time. In fact, many biblical figures like Abraham, Moses, and Anna the prophetess discovered their greatest calling in their later years. God has a unique purpose for everyone, regardless of age, and our wisdom and experience can make us even more effective in serving others and fulfilling His will.
In our later years, we may find that our purpose shifts. Perhaps it’s mentoring the younger generation, deepening our prayer life, or supporting others with the knowledge we’ve gained through decades of faith and life experience. God often calls us to new roles as we grow older, reminding us that every season of life can be fruitful. Our purpose doesn’t fade with time—it evolves, guided by the divine plan that continues until the very end.
So keep going forward! Just like the couple below did!
The above picture is in tribute to my mother and father, Ron & Veronica (Mickey) Frierdich who lived their entire lives being living LIGHTS for the Kingdom of God. For the last 30+ years, up until the time they passed (89/91) they knew their goals and purposes when it came to sharing the gospel! I am blessed to have had them in my life for so long!
